Astro.js Developer · On watch since 2018

A steady signal in the noise of broken websites.

I help small businesses escape slow, hard-to-update sites and rebuild them on Astro — fast, owned, and made to last.

I'm Robin — a freelance web developer who builds careful, fast, hand-coded websites for small businesses on Astro.js, the modern framework built for content-first sites. New builds, rebuilds, and the long-term care of both.

Most of my clients are tradespeople, studios, restaurants, and small agencies whose current site is either embarrassing them or actively losing them work — slow, broken on mobile, impossible to update, or quietly failing in search results.

With six years of commercial experience across modern stacks and the kind of legacy systems most agencies refuse to touch, I can move you onto something that loads instantly, costs less to host, and is genuinely pleasant to maintain — without losing a single piece of content or breaking your search rankings.

Every project is different, but most of my work falls into one of these four areas. Mix and match as needed — most engagements blend two or more.

Eworx

Eworx is a South African ISP and IT services business running a legacy WordPress site that had outgrown its platform — slow, hard to update, and disconnected from their backend systems. I rebuilt it on Astro with Splynx and Strapi as the CMS layer, giving the team full control over content without touching code.

Significantly faster load times, a modern content management workflow, and far more functionality than the old site could support.
